That said, don't quit everything right now, but take a month/6 weeks and do the camino! Do it all, every step, and then lie on your back and watch the sunset at Finisterre and ask yourself again, what next? I'll bet there will be better answers.
I could have written this myself, right now... And I have done the Camino. Loved it so much I've done it 3 times now, and my feeling after the last one was that my greatest mistake was coming back at all.
But is that true? I don't see anyway of knowing. I could quit my job and sell my flat...
My backpack is ready!
When I got home I did just what you do on the Camino. Washed clothes, tended feet, ate, showered, prepared pack for the next day's walk. It's just kind of a long few rest days until I'm off again. ❤️
The Camino is always with me. I think every day about my walk, and walking again. But I shut up about with friends and family...mostly. No subject is fun for other people if overdone. Be glad he told you, instead of just gritting his teeth in silence. Maybe after sometime in peace he can tell...
Beatrice, thanks so much for your detailed descriptions of what it's like to walk longer distances. I max out at about 25, maybe 30km a day, and when I see stronger, faster people stride smoothly past me I wonder, how? what's that like? Now I know more.
I get kind of hung up on not feeling good...
Hello! I've been using a fitbit for about 6 months, lagging behind lately. I'd love a camino fitbit friend. Walking from Sevilla April 6, Easter Monday.
