    The ticking clock

I walked my first Camino Frances in 2018 at age 66. I set off for my 5th in April this year. Would have liked to have started sooner, but I am grateful that I found out about the Camino at all. Best thing I have done lately to ‘stay young’ - see att photo, should have done this earlier too!!!😄

End of a really hot day on the Meseta, friend took this video in a bar

If a barman poured a beer like that - and with a head like that - in Oz, he would be hounded out of the bar!!!

Tour Saint-Jacques in Paris open for visits

Visited 25 Apr - closed. Will be back in Paris late-Jun, will try to get a stamp. Thanks for the info. Cooee

Dull, boring, urban and sketchy (sketchy?)

The river route into Burgos is very nice.

LIVE from the Camino Calling all CURRENT hospitaleros!! (Nov 2021)

Bruce, Thanks for the info. I hope that the missing beds will be replaced by next spring. Have a look at the YouTube blog of ‘TangerineHorizons’ of a few days ago. ‘Logrono to Najera’ - I am only going off your (very small on the iPhone) Avatar, but it looks like you. Cooee

LIVE from the Camino Calling all CURRENT hospitaleros!! (Nov 2021)

Well done Bruce. I saw your YouTube interview of a few days ago with the Irish lady pilgrim - very good. The Muni at Najera used to have around 90 beds when I last stayed there in 2019. You say above that there are now only 54 bunks, reduced to 27 for Covid occupancy restrictions. What happened...

No graffiti on it (mojone) yet...but I do keep the back gate closed.

Great result, well done - espc the brass plate. Here is my effort - hebel stone, aerated concrete, cut it with a hand saw. Cooee

    Legend of the Traveler's Tree

Stab it where the green fronds merge, but not down into the trunk proper, and you will get clear sweet water.

Camino Yellow Arrow Pin and shipping to Australia

Copied assistance offered by @Silus, but I return to Oz 25 Sep (QLD), if you need it sooner. PM me if you do. Cooee

    Small Victories and Starting Back.

You can never keep a good man down Dave. The spirit and the drive are everything. Good luck with your recovery. Cooee

Question about side paths and trespassing laws? (+mapping fun)

Wish I had known about the dirt track out of Molinaseca. Looks a lot better than the marked route!

    To Shell-ack or Not?

Yes, I agree. My shell from the Pilgrims Office in SJPdP, for a donation, proved to be more robust than me most of the time!!!

    Great pun @trecile.😄Cooee

Is it a "Saunter" or a "Hike"? Our Pilgrimages.......

I have always liked your posts @trecile, to whatever topic, for being pithy and pertinent. Sama Sama this one.😄 Cooee

Then and Now, First and Last

Not an old one - and not even on the way. But I made this last week from a Hebel block and tiles from SdC for my driveway. Great CF memories every day. Cooee

Are most questions on here facetious??

@Robo, fully agree. Just back from my first Camino - and this forum was invaluable in my preparation and successful completion of the CF. I live by what was drummed into me in my military flying training: Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance!😄Cooee
