Clothing Theft/Loss/ Misappropriation on the Camino

I did have a shirt and pair of shorts stolen on day 28 of 30 on the Camino. I would say it is rare but not unheard of. Just to be clear I wasn’t the only one on that day in that albergue; it wasn’t a case of mistaken clothing. I would not worry about diaper pins or anything like that. If...

    2023: hospitalero shortage

Same question. I am ready to go on my second Camino. I think it would be amazing to stop and help for a few weeks in the middle.

    Compostela requirements clarification please

I believe that is only if you only do the last 100Km. I did a full 800km with one a day and received my Compostela

    The queues in Santiago

I basically ran the last 100km. Completed in 2 days. The mood had changed so much. I never considered the lineup impact. Very interesting idea though I don’t know if it would fly.

Top Tips starting from St JeanPied de Port

if you can spend that first night in Orisson it is a great way to start the Camino. Hiking shoes are fine but that decent into Zubiri is one of the more challenging of the Camino. I like the comment about making sure your shoes are worn in but not worn out. Also be sure you wore them in with...

    The In-Between Places

Great idea some of my favourite evenings and meals were in some of the smallest towns. I also spent an extra day or two in each of the big cities along the way. My last Camino was 32 days with 28 walking. The next will be closer to 40. I met a young lady from Quebec who only did 20 km a...

    Spanish Vitaminas

I bought Vitamins and took them everyday. Your body goes through a lot. Protein powder is not needed IMHO. You just need to eat lots. We would have 2 breakfasts and often two lunches.
