Thank you. I am in north Texas - about 6 hours north of the worst of it. I've been watching The Weather Channel since yesterday. I hope all those in harm's way evacuated when they could.
I understand that nudity is viewed differently in some parts at Europe than in the USA and I understand "custody of the eyes" that has been discussed here before; but, geez, some things can't be un-seen!
Oh my! When I saw the thread title all I could think of was the Twilight Zone episode from years ago where the man had an earwig stuck in his ear. It ate it way all the way through his head and came out his other ear.
Abba is a prime contender for songs that get stuck in my head. Maybe...
I just bought several yards of the soft 1443R Tyvek to use a a sheet. Did you leave yours flat or did you make it into a fitted sheet? I understand that if I sew it, I need to use long stitches so it doesn't weaken the material and cause it to tear along the stitching.

I've just found the Periscope app which is associated with Twitter. You can broadcast your video live and anyone from around the world with the app can watch it real time. It would be fun to see the live videos from people walking the camino or interacting with others in the albergues. I've...

The person who is primarily Red is only interested in the...
Probably more like a "Hairy eyeball" that Icacos mentioned for me. o_O (Although I could buy an actual Goofy hat and wear it when it's cool. That would be fun!)
You may not be confident with your spoken English; but, your written English is perfect. It would be fun to practice my Spanish while walking (I'm half way through Duolingo) and also help others with their English.
I read on another thread here that identifying oneself as being from the US can be enough to start conversations that I hope to stay away from. I'm not a good debater and when a person is passionate about their stand, I prefer not to make a fool of myself, especially after a few "vasos de vino...
Hi William. I agree with Doug. I'll be looking for 5 weeks of quiet introspection and general light conversation with the others I meet along the way. I plan to walk right before the next US presidential election. I may have to consider Laura's idea of putting a Canadian flag on my pack...
