The municipal albergue seems to repeatedly get them, as it had only just reopened when I got there last year. I'd still happily stay there again though.
Saw some horrible images of bedbugs over the last few years. The bites REALLY swell up. I had been bitten last year, but I don't think they...
Bit like the guy I met on my first Camino, Dennis. He had a little tuft of dreadlocks on the top of his head and looked kinda tough... Although he was actually a lovely, very caring guy who I grew to like and awful lot. He'd make your bad mood disappear within seconds of realising you were in...
I think the moaners are the more anti-social ones. There were a couple walking at the same pace as me and everyday, without fail, their response to my "hola buenas dias" or "buen camino" was a scowl or a grunt. I think they had preconceived ideas of who I was, what I was like etc.
I walk the...
Unfortunately, bigotry is still rife and for some reasons, people feel it necessary to catagorise people by country. They'd probably be the first to denounce rascism, although other forms of discrimination appear to be, to them, ok.
I met a few Germans over the last few years... I'm even in a...
Re: how many km/day you was making?

I'll pop over there after work.
Weird question, I know, but seeing as I've never bought em before, I sought the assistance of the web, only to find that most were for 'fashion' which I thought was a little odd.
Well... I bought the Gran Reserva a couple of years ago to make up for the fact that the fountain wasn't on when I got to it... Now, I know my wines quite well, having worked in the wine trade for a few years and I've gotta say... It was horrible! Keep it as a door stop or paperweight!
:)
It's not just about yourself... It's ABOUT yourself. If you walk away from the Camino thinking "gosh, that was tough" Then you're thinking the wrong things... Or more to the point, you'vr missed something. It's not necessarily about religion, it's about your inner self. It's not about you in...
The other thing you could always do of course, would be to cook your own meals where possible. Lots of places have shops where you can buy pasta, pasta sauce and also you could buy stuff in the evening so you're fully catered for lunchtimes.
