The Way: how do you feel about THE movie?
None of the categories work for me. I first walked part of the Camino in 2011 after reading a magazine article on it. Then again in 2013, 2018, in parts and tried in 2022 (COVID stopped me). Still haven’t hit Santiago but hope to this March!! I watched the movie when it first came out and...- Mito

Winter - night temperatures in albergues
I found a great deal of variety in March which I suspect is similar to winter. Some albergues were unheated and very cold. Others were fine. Credit Card Nightmare
I didn’t read through all the answers but I didn’t see this suggestion in those I did read: I called all my credit cards before I left to alert them that I would be in Spain. Many cards will refuse payment if they notice an unexpected change in location. Worth a try.- Mito

Effective quick bed bug killer
Heat also kills bedbugs. If it's summer when I get home, I put my bag and anything else that can't be washed on high heat into a black plastic bag and set it in the sun for a few days. If it's winter (as it will be this year), cold also kills. I live in Maine and so I can leave my pack, etc...- Mito

In my 2 Caminos (granted, the last one was 4 years ago) I never saw a bedbug. And I am very bedbug wary when I travel --- checking bedbugs.com before I book a hotel, for example. If you are allergic or sensitive, then I suppose it would be prudent to use a repellent. But personally I'd rather...- Mito
