xm, Unfortunately I couldn't manage with just a carry-on when I made my camino trip,(May-June 06),as I was staying on in Spain until the October, in the Salamanca area,one of my favourite cities,so I left my non-camino gear there! Otherwise, like you I'm a great believer...- PEI-les
