This phenomenum started the moment the Camino become commercialised. Business class peregrinos and taxi grinos and "pilgrims" carrying daypacks. My honest opinion.
Try "here" it works off line and is very accurate, guided me from Lisbon to Santiago without missing a single step, even if you wonder of the track, it will guide you back on track.
