Late October 2 years ago was fabulous- shops open restaurants open accommodations open some closed with plenty open. Weather turned dicey though quickly
I'm on a 2 day retreat in Sedalia CO. Beautiful grounds but the most I could handle physically, emotionally, and spiritually was the 2-mile loop on their open space.
Last long hike before leaving for Madrid and SJPP next Tuesday. 13 miles/2000 ft elevation gain. Worse part was I chose a trail with lots of exposed sections, including a lot of walking with sheer dropoffs on the trail's edge. not my favorite training hike, but it got the job done...

Group question - next week's...

Good training hike. Wallace falls to Wallace lake. Visiting family in Seattle area. 10.5 miles rt, 1900 ft elevation gain. Tough first 3 miles up though
8.5 miles, 1800 feet elevation gain. 1 section very rocky otherwise very stable footing. Came across a fox that acted as if he'd never run into a human. I assured him I was safe
so this is my camino history

- start Santo Domingo Oct 2021, complete the CF November, this time with...
I've been re-habbing from a torn miniscus so not much hiking these past 6 months. Today I ventured out though - route was a little more challenging than I remembered. Poles kept me steady though. Outside Denver CO
