    Celebrating my old age

    I'm 77 and can envision another Camino too. It will be fairly slow, probably a few weeks long and accomodations will be in small albergues and pensions, a room with a private bathroom and breakfast included. This will make for a pleasant journey. Be in tune with what is sensible for you.

    A German friend we met on the Camino had a word for it ... buchsepausieren. I rather enjoy peeing in the woods and have since I was a child. I agree, squat and look at the stars or the leaves, etc. ... be one with nature.

    Your Scallop Shell

    We will be doing the Camino Portuges in May and (since scallop shells are fairly easy to find on our Cape Cod beaches) will be bringing along some choice specimens to give as gifts to fellow pilgrims.
