honestly... the whole idea is to be in a different culture... if you want to repeat what's at home, i don't really get the point.
also, a lot of people, myself included, were pleasantly surprised to find that eating loxally i just wasn't hungry.... in australia on a 14 km walk i'm starving
I mostly walked in the low 20s but ond day, through sheer mismanagement and crazy enthusiasm , i walked 43 kms from the little hamlet of Cassanova to the lovely private albergue in Santa Irene.
I left in the morning in moonlight and arrived in moonlight.... but what a great day!!! But then...
i couldn't agree more.
I would recommend that anyone walking the Camino, walk alone... i loved being able to stop when and where i wanted to stop, to be able to bask in the luxury of eating an orange on the side of the path and then having a little nap... no where to be, no time to be there...
