Hi, This may not be directly related, but I will be in Ireland for 10 days of liesure and was wondering if there were any suggestions, particularly camino related, of places to go etc. other than the regular tourist attractions. I would appreciate any ideas. I will be there from Sep 4-13...
I am reading with some amusement this thread and particularly the American contributors. It is only when one is in relative security and freedom that one can voice dissent. People around the world can bad mouth the USA, but when your trusty Airbus or Boeing loses an engine or has an electrical...
Ivar, as always thanks for a great service to us all. Question, is there any way in this new format that I can simply look at the new posts since my last visit? This was a very convenient option in the old format. Ultreya, John
I know of no better camino book of wisdom that Joyce Rupp's "Walk in a relaxed manner". 25 thoughts that will spear your soul as you walk. Ultreya, John

Just a curious question. I saw a man cutting the large leaves off stalks of plants which were in the Caldo Gallego. Were these turnips? I have never seen leaves harvested from a plant this way. Thanks and buen camino to all. John
Ivar,
You brought back many wonderful memories, my favorite is a small bar across the street from the city office building in Samos. The best! empemadas that weren't greasy, and batter fried mushrooms. I have a question about tipping in bars and restaurants along the camino. Several times...
Hi DG,
I feel your anxiety, I have been there. Before my camino, I read Joyce Rupp's book and her 24 lessons are well heeded. I didn't take the whole book, but I wrote down the 24 statements and began to study them before I went. They were great meditations for walking the camino. Every...
