    H Richards you are correct I went back and looked at my 8 transactions from last year and was charged 5 Euros for each but the fees of $47.50 were reimbursed from Schwab.

    Schwab debit card reimburses all fees. Also agree Bank Santander worked best for us on 6 caminos.

    Not necessary to speak spanish you can book on Booking.com and those places you need to go direct can be booked using google translate. The tour companies double the price plus you can't cancel or change them.

    We walked the Camino twice in Sept and the weather couldn't have been any better. The Mountains can be cool but we had only 2 days of light rain. You will need light rain gear with some layers. Great time of year to go !!
