    The meseta is my favorite. Chance of rain is definitely less, but when it comes, it comes suddenly on this day before Leon, I got walloped and drenched gratefully there was this little place 10 kilometers later where I could at least dry out comfortably.

    As an hospitalero in the albergue system. I can say that you could have a good chance if asked in any albergue private or otherwise, if they had any walking poles that were left awhile ago. Many pilgrims leave poles and never return to get them.

    Where to have two rest days

    I recommend the albergue I’m el acebo. That’s the place that I thing is the best to take extra days. You can walk around the trails of El Bierzo short distances if you want to see another way of hiking in Spain.
