If you had to choose to skip a part of the route. What would be your choice?

I know that many people love the Meseta. I don’t understand why miles and miles of nothing, not even a tree to get away from sun which was brutal in September. Good luck deciding. Wish i had a picture to send you. Buen Camino

Instead of Sarria to Santiago-any other100-150 km on the Frances

Instead of Sarria to Santiago-any other100-150 km on the Frances

I agree. Primitivo is wonderful and not crowded and you then cut over to the Norte and another route and come out by the airport. Then you have very little left on that crowded part.

    Don't grow up: It's a trap.

Don't agree. Depends on the quality of your life whether the alternative is worse.

    Discouraged in Florida

Exactly right. Loved those stops for coffee and later in the day for beer, and you do work up to it.

    Discouraged in Florida

You have nothing to worry about. You are doing just fine. I was 70 when I did my first Camino in 2016 and although I was doing a lot of hiking I wasn't doing many 8 mile days. My hikes averaged 8-16 km 2 times a week and that was it. I did work out at the gym and with a personal trainer...
