I bought mine at the Decathlon in Pamplona. There was another shop near the Alda Centro Hotel (a few doors down) that had poles, and there’s also a pilgrim outfitter in old town Pamplona.
I also enjoyed my stay at the Sansol Palacio, and dinner with the lovely owner and his gracious Dutch assistant. Absolutely loved the grand old building upgraded to comfort and convenience.
When I was in Nájera a few days ago, the Guardia Civil was there asking if there had been any thefts or other problems recently. Apparently they have had reports of things being stolen from pilgrims and other travelers.
