We did it in rain and wind last October. Trail should be fine. You will get wet feet, but you will probably get that on the road too. Some parts provide shelter. Go steady, and even in the rain it is beautiful. -

Seems really tough. But they were wanting to use Pilgrim facilities, whilst they were clearly not on a Pilgrimage. So it was really up to the 'managers' of the Albergue. Not sure I could have turned them away but I fully understand the decision.
