Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

    Thank you for this.

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

I am not objecting to a contrary view. Not at all. I welcome different views. I am objecting to some of the posts which, to my mind, are judgemental and unhelpful.

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

Again, your advice is very much appreciated. And to my mind, completely free from judgement. I thank you for that.

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

Thank you, Pelerina Yes, I can see that the wording of my headline may have contributed to some of the responses. It was intended to be light-hearted (as I try to make most of my posts). And I have no problem whatsoever with those that recommend walking the full route. I totally "get" that...

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

I didn't appreciate some of the views, that is true.

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

Okay, enough. To those who have offered arguments for and against skipping the stage from Mansilla to Leon, my sincere thanks. To those of you who have judged me I offer no thanks (unsurprisingly). I have been told to "Walk the path that is laid out in front of you", that I should "eat the...

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

Well, I would were it not for the fact that someone built a main road next to it.

Mansilla de la Mulas to León: why bother?

Yes but.......maybe taking that Villar de Mazarife variant to Astorga would be more fun?

I think this translates as "it's a bit...

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

Mmmm, the bar may be a bad idea. An hour in there and I won’t know where I’m going. But two hours and I won’t care!

    Perfect. No further questions.

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

It's not personal. Just that my Mum told me never to accept gifts from strangers or sloths.

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

That's the answer I wanted to hear! But can I trust you? ;)

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

Yes but.......the map seems to show me having to travel well North of the airport and then heading back South to the City Centre. Surely that cannot be right?

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

Great info, thank you. Do you know where these buses leave from? I think the bus from the airport comes into Bilbao Intermodal but I don't know if that is the main (or only?) bus station or if I need to allow for a schlepp across the city.

Bilbao airport to Pamplona: Rome2Rio doing my 'ead in!

Trying to plan my journey from Bilbao airport to Pamplona. I thought it was simply a case of jump on the bus at the airport into the city centre (20 mins on route A3247) and then swap onto a bus to Pamplona (2 hours). Hopefully with the swap taking place in the same bus station ("Bilbao...

When to start the Camino Frances? Crowds vs weather.

Thank you all for your valuable comments (as ever). Thank you to those who say I should not worry, to those who offer coping strategies and to those who share their experiences of crowding. A plea: let’s not step into a cancel culture where we deny the personal experience of those those who have...

When to start the Camino Frances? Crowds vs weather.

Anamiri, many thanks for taking the time to write such a complete and detailed response. This is so very helpful. I am NOT a fast walker so it seems to me prudent that I leave later in September. If I left in August I would be forever expecting "the wave" to catch up with me. Would I be...
