I had Salomon Goretex boots in April 2018 on Frances. They were very good and my feet never got wet, even when we walked in rain or deep mud for days. BUT they are so heavy and so hot! I must say I left them behind and bought lighter shoes. I think Goretex is too much in spring, but great in...
Three socks ok. I have a tradition: every time I loose one pair of socks on the first day of camino. One pair left in Madrid hostel bed, another in train... So, with three socks I'll still have two pairs left. That's enough. Otherwise, if you can carry it, take what you need. I'll have a pink...
Hello 🙋🏻♀️
So you're in front of a BIG adventure!
Write in the search section "gear list" and you'll find many different lists.

Last and this year April-May: mostly quite warm, even too hot. Chilly mornings, though. Last year we had one week very cold, after that very hot weeks. You really can't know what to expect. 😊
We booked private albergues two days ahead in April. It really was needed, since we were slow walkers too and usually the last to arrive to an albergue. Once we had to walk 5 more km because all places were full and after that we booked ahead.
