    About this time last year I was in Molinaseca on a Sunday and managed to find a bar with the F1 Grand Prix on the TV. There were 4 locals playing a card game with cards I did not recognise and which involved a lot of slamming the cards on the table. Was this Tute ??

    I passed through Pamplona on Monday 2nd September and went to pay my respects to Mr Hemingway only to find that the entrance under the archway was closed . I hope this is only temporary !

    I have recently finished the CF Sept/Oct and apart from booking Roncesvalles & Larasoana I never booked and never had a problem finding a bed . Go and enjoy your Camino.

    Some do and some don’t but I take my own which works for me and doesn’t add much weight either.

    I have only booked in Larrasoaña in the San Nicolas Albergue as the municipal has limited numbers. Since then I have not booked and have had no problem finding a bed. I am currently in Ambasmestas in the excellent Das Animas Albergue.

    I am currently in Bercianos del Camino and have had no problem in finding a bed at all.You should be fine so go and have a great Camino .

    I started from SJPdP on the 31 st August and apart from booking Roncesvalles have not booked any where else and have not failed to get a bed. Currently in the municipal in Calzadilla and still plenty of beds available.

    I am currently in Agés and despite many saying it is crowded there are still empty bunks, it was the same in Belorado. However there were many bags deposited at the entrance to my Albergue from the non-carriers .

    Is the municipal Alberque in Larrasoaina still closed . This was not my favourite Alberque to say the least but it was only one night .I start my 2nd CF in September and am planning on stopping there again as it fits in with my plans. If it is closed will it be opened again this year ?

    can I suggest : Alb Parroquial in Bercianos del Real Camino where we all shared a very large paella and later had to sing for our supper !! also Alb Casa del Pescador in Ambasmestas - excellent meal and the lady did all our washing.

    I also loved seeing this rose on my Camino . As an RHS member I have checked their website and it appears not to be available in the UK.

    I stayed in Roncesvalles on the 5th May and was glad that I had booked ahead as they were turning pilgrims away by late afternoon.
