    Raingear on Frances in September

Caminojoy123, I like the full coverage of the Ferrino, but yes it is a little heavy.

    Raingear on Frances in September

I have a Ferrino rain coat that is similar to the Altus, but I think it weighs a little more. Got it on Amazon and have used it for three Caminos. It covers a backpack, but is a coat not a poncho. I love it.

Special places deserving exploration on C. Frances

I agree, Samos. I showed up for the monastery tour, and was the only one! The lovely tour guide gave me a private tour in English. I stayed at the hotel across the street that night and had the paella! The walk from Samos to Sarria is very lovely too.

Getting to Madrid from a village.

Hi John. I'm really happy to hear that your surgery and recovery is going well, so well, that you will walk a year later! I am facing OHS soon as well. I have been assured that once recovered I will be able to train and walk again in Spain. You are my inspiration! Pam
