Suggestions for a place in Pamplona to spend 2-3 nights before stating CF?

The bus station is not far from the center of Pamplona, maybe 15 - 20 minute walk.

Suggestions for a place in Pamplona to spend 2-3 nights before stating CF?

Hola, Marska, I stayed two nights at the Pamplona Catedral hotel and enjoyed everything immensely. Comfortable room and bath right near the Cathedral, castle walls, and main plaza of Pamplona. I booked two nights not only to relax and see the sights but also to allow a cushion of time ahead of...

    Cash vs Credit or Debit

Yes! And at end of each Camino I like to bring home an extra 200 Euro (or more) so I’m always ready for a future trip.

Rely on wifi or get a data plan?

I, too, have AT&T from US. The 20-Euro SIM I bought in Spain was far better for me than what AT&T offers: $10 a day for any day the phone is used outside USA. The Spanish SIM gave me so much data I could use my phone all the time, for a whole month. Well worth the expense! ¡Buen Camino!

There are always wonderful people to talk with on the Camino and those less-crowded sections seem to facilitate conversation. Comfortable, lightweight rain gear was helpful as we often had light rain or...

Differences in the walking experience - pre vs post Covid?

We walked from León to Santiago in October, 2019, before Covid. We walked from St. Jean Pied-de-Port to León in September and October, 2021, after vaccines were widely available but people still wore masks indoors. One difference I noticed was that before Covid, many chapels along the Camino...

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Forum Evolución in Burgos?

Yes we stayed there in Oct. 2021; we booked through “Follow the Camino.com”. Our room was nice; breakfast was good; loved the location and there were fellow Peregrinas close by on our floor. I’d definitely stay there again. Buen Camino to you.

Sarria to Santiago. 4 days? or 5? Late November

My family & friend group of 6 adults took five days in mid-Oct. 2019 to walk from Sarria to Santiago. We had rain every day, usually light, though the walk was pleasant. I don’t think other pilgrims slowed us down, other than the occasional line for a rest room! We were happy to have a few...
