I started from SJPDP on October 19, 2022.
Orrison was closed but Borda was open and there was never a problem after that all the way to Santiago. Multiple days of rain.
I took a morning train from Burgos to Bilbao for about €20. The trip did not take much more than an hour. You can catch a bus from the train station to the main bus station in town. It’s about a mile walk from the bus station to the Guggenheim. I took s walking tour of the Bilbao old town...
Sue, I walked the the CF last October 19-November 24. It was cool over the Pyrenees, hot from Pamplona to Leon, and rainy from Ponferrada to Santiago. It rained every day during the last 10 days and once it was torrential all day long. Nonetheless, we all had a great time. Buen Camino.
I started in SJPD last October 19 (2022). There was very little crowd at all. No complications getting beds. I finished in Santiago on November 24 and only 166 pilgrims picked up compostellas that day. Consider going a little later in the year.
