Stop Half Way between Pamplona and Puente La Reina

Zariquiegui - it is about halfway, probably a little less (11-12km), before Alto del Perdon. It has two lodgings - La Posada de Ardogi and Albergue San Andres. https://www.caminosleeps.com/zariquiegui.html

May/June or September/October on the Camino Frances?

Thanks for that @peregrina2000 . I gave myself a few days to write something similar (and not to sound "patronising"). But the fact that 3,500 pilgrims came to Santiago in one day (and all of them passed by some fruit trees and at least half of them will pass by vineyards in the fall... Everyday)

    Burgos - September 14th

My plans were to come to Burgos on September 14 (bus from Bilbao). A few days ago I was informed that my flight Venice - Bilbao had been canceled due to Covid-19. Now I’m wondering if I might learn to fly by then. Or it is possible to swim. Or to get in the car and not stop to Burgos. Maybe the...

Suggestions for a week long stay on the CF Route

They definitely swim (seen with my own eyes), even on Google Earth there are photos of the beach and swimmers. Of course, this is just an added plus for Burgos, which is a really special place Playa Fuente del Prior (find photos on Google)

Suggestions for a week long stay on the CF Route

Burgos has a river beach - near the campsite, next to a beautiful park at the alternative entrance to Burgos. Carrion de los Condes also has a very nice beach on the river, the same next to the park (which is important because of the shade ;) ) Buen Camino!

@LTfit and her albergue in Villares de Órbigo

This is my favorite albergue! It was my first time when the owners were Pablo and Belen, secondly to Christine, and this May I will be happy to visit new owner (is planned). Alberge is really exceptional

    Non-Compostela Statistics Question

I have been to different parts of the Camino 7 times (250-300km each) and have never been to Santiago. He finally "called" me and I'm planning to have an Astorga-Santiago or Burgos-Santiago next April. I don't think I'll even go to get compostela/distance certificate even then. I don't know if...

    Church in Castrojeriz

Church at the exit of Castrojeriz. Does anyone have an idea why the Pentagram is facing like it?

Four more days until SdC - and no motivation anymore to continue ...

Dear @sugargypsy . I think I understand the words between the lines. I wish you a lot of courage, the hardest part is made (cognition and decision). Now it's a time to realization, and this is in some ways a lighter part, despite all the obstacles. I'm not talking about Camino. I really want you...

Four more days until SdC - and no motivation anymore to continue ...

I think it's important to listen to your feelings. If you do not come to Santiago this year, it does not mean that you will never come. And it does not mean defeat. So far I've walked (from 2011) about 2,000km from different parts of Camino, and I have not been in Santiago so far. I waited to...

Walking 21 days from Pamplona to Santiago. Is it ok?

Most likely you will succeed ..... but - it may happen that due to fatigue and / or lack of time, you will not enjoy all that Camino also enable: rests with coffee wherever you like, exploring towns and churches and chapels, moments admiring many stuning views, chat with pilgrims or...

Large Size Credencial from St Jean?

Is it possible that you missed the 8 stamp spots on the side of the maps (SCD credential)? And enjoy the VdlP - it's wonderful :)

    Entering Burgos

Hello , the path is marked (perhaps not ideal) and is significantly more beautiful than the "original"

    Fragrant albergues

I fully understand and sympathize. I also experienced that the young peregrinas delayed their stuff on the beds next to mine, they sprayed the bed with a huge amount of poison against bed bugs (really it was all cloud) and quickly retreated to fresh air -it would be fair at least alert me (I...

    Can Forum rules be Questioned?

Religious experiences (if they are) are something very, very personal, intimate. I do not know what it would look like if I wrote, for example: on the fifth day, I suddenly felt the presence of God at once (this is hypothetical, caricatured). And then (because this is a forum) people would...
