Well done Marra, @ Introibo I spent a fortune staying in hotels and private rooms on my Camino, because I knew I was a snorer, in my six weeks I spent 5 nights in albergue.s. I was never picked on for snoring but because I washed my clothes in the wrong sink this guy had to take me by the hand...
There are lots of things I wished I had known, but one addictive thing is. I wished I had known was how not to get hooked longingly on the view from this web cam. Localización: Praza do Obradoiro, 15705, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, España. Come and join me if you have not seen the web...
Terri Moynihan, does anyone know if her journey has started, and how she is doing. I am curious has to how she is and how she is managing. When some one posts asking advice like Terri its great to know how it all went IMHO. Yes she may not return to the forum till she has got home but I am...
This is just my humble opinion as a resident of the UK and an old aged pensioner. Young people have a hard enough life as it, is so if they can get a better discount so be it. I am a lucky person as I have a really good pension, and get all sorts of perks, but some of the young people really...
Here is my two pennies worth, do not ban cyclists they are good company as well at night. I am a walker and a cyclist. What is required is bike bells, and training on how to use them in plenty of time for me to step out the way, IMHO.
Sorry to read about this bystander. So may I wish you a fast recovery and hope your camino will be fulfilled when you have recovered the strength and the endurance. I recovered from another illness and walked so all the best.
John
I sometimes wonder about how good advice can turn a subject matter into a crime watch scenario. The advice is keep your valuables safe by whatever means prudently suits you, but in all the time I walked on the camino never once did I hear of theft even though it does happen. I even had to walk...
I lost my forum buff, I hung it up to dry at a cafe in the rain this September some where after Leon where you have to cross the road to get to the place. I am still mad at myself as I also broke my glasses and lost my sun glasses, but its my forum buff I miss.
Metropolly , It was strange seeing your post because just yesterday I was wondering about the lady, had she managed to reach her goal? I hope she is ok but she did, if I remember ask for donation of kit so she could go on the pilgrimage. I am sure some people met her I London, one just wonders...
Arriving SJPDP on Saturday 23 August then walking to Orisson on the Sunday 24, then all being well onward to SDC.
Asger.me you will catch me up and go passed no doubt, so Buen Camino to you and all others.
"I wanted to throttle him". felt like that a few times myself, but as you say Kat, you can laugh now . So I can only hope you can now keep laughing, as for me I enjoy being a reader of your posts. Best wishes and i will put a like to your last post.
chilledKat as Lise T says "Be gentle to yourself" and I wish you all the best for your future, and please do keep us all informed, as I might need to draw on your experience when I walk.
Beth-o, I am not an expert as I have yet to walk the Camino, but the John Brierley guide does not mention one. At 1.4 kilometers further on is San Justo de la Vega with a hostal (Juli) on the main street Tel 987-617-632. But one of the experienced members of the forum may know a better idea...
Rain, living in Cumbria (Cumberland) the way to tell summer and winter apart easy, warm rain and cold rain. its only water but I do hate the wind.
