It is very sad indeed. I hope that they had experienced great Camino moments together, they will be key memories to help and support the journey onward in her life.
I too am an early riser, did the Frances from Saint Jean in 26 days because this suited my pace and enjoyment of walking, not because I worried about bunk counts!!
I was always considerate of others and would pre pack the night before.
Remember the Camino is made up of all sorts, as is life...
I would recommend Albergue San Andres in Zariguieque. Stayed there in May, very clean, 10 euros for B and B, dinner 10 euros more.
Beware though it is 18km from Pamplona not the 10km you might have read.
