On the train to Leon. Doc said two weeks rest for walking tendonitis, Dad's willing to give it three days at the moment. We'll see what the future holds.
Thanks! That's what I figured, however, thought I would check with the experts! We're in Fromista now and the health clinic opens shortly, so we'll have some actual info then. Right now I'm brainstorming options. :)
After making SJPDP to Fromista, dad suspects he may have a stress fracture. If we end up making some changes are there any issues with doing 10k days and sending his bag ahead from Sarria? Trying to figure out what are options are as we talk with the docs this morning.
Tanks!!
Do you know find yourself with a pair of black smart wool men's underwear that aren't yours? I'd so, let me know! You grabbed my dad's off the laundry line!
Thanks!

We almost did the same, especially when we were unable to reserve Zubiri. But he was dead set on walking over the Pyrenees at least. A last look found us a bed in Zubiri, and hopefully it will all be smooth sailing from there. We leave in 3 days!
Greetings!
My father and I are planning on walking the Camino Frances, departing SJPDP on May 30. I've booked Orrison and Roncessvalles, and then planned to take things as they come - much as I did when I did my first camino in 2017. Dad has dived head first and the latest wave of camino...
I can't seem to find a website other than the "reserve tickets" website and I definitely can't find an email address. Any chance you could post those links or PM me?
Thanks!
So, somewhat of an unusual request.
I hiked the Camino last summer - oh goodness, two summers ago now. Man, how time flies! :D Anyway, while I was in Burgos, I went to the Monastery of Los Heulgas, and they had a book I wanted to get. It was 5 lbs, and not wanting to carry the weight, and...
I know it's getting close! And I am not as ready as I want to be! My grandfather has been in the hospital on life support, so I've been taking care of the rest of the family while my parents are out dealing with that.
What part of Australia are you from? I used to live outside of Sydney. I...
No worries about letting go of "that film" - it is my inspiration - not my guide book. I'm a school teacher so this is the only time of year I can go. I know the Camino is not what is once was, but there is not much I can do about that now. I guess my big concern was just being able to have a...
So it's my first camino starting June 1 from SJPdP, and I have until July 11. Should be plenty of time, and I'm planning on Finesterre/Muxia as well.
I, like many Americans, first saw The Way with Martin Sheen and decided that the Camino was something I wanted to do (I will admit it took almost...
Thanks! I think I'm going to have plan on stopping in MdG, but if I choose to walk on, it is no issue. I won't plan on leaving until at least the day after for Finesterre and Muxia so I've got a little bit of wiggle room on top of that as well.
6 weeks to go...

I'm trying to work some logistics for the end of my Camino. I'm trying to keep to 25 km days, but need to schedule some tourist travel after the camino. So thoughts on what is possible please.
1) When I arrive in Santiago - can I get my compestella the next day? I'd rather not wait in a line...
I'm staying in Orrison on my camino, and I'd like to stay off the main stages as much as possible. Is there an albergue/pension/whatever past Ronncenvalles that offers a shuttle back for the pilgrim's mass?
Thanks!
Erin
