My ipod, some shorts, a pair of socks, a copy of atlas shrugged in Leon, my fear of awkward situations, strange places and most importantly of all tons and tons of emotional baggage and crap from hours and hours of walking and thinking...
I think my dignity disappeared at some...
Aye... duty free emotional modifiers. 2 bottles of 12 year old Single malts to ease me into reality here at home.
I still wake up imagining the sounds of people packing to set out early. Its not post traumatic stress but more post walk blues... I miss the way.

Its a funny feeling when your bag is packed (and under 10kg!) most of your major bookings are done and you have just exchanged your money for euro's.
I don't know if its a feeling of excitement or the fact that i resemble a piñata with my back pack and money stash... Either way I can't wait to...
If so... did you want to hang around in Paris one night then head to SJPDP?

Er... I asked for 8 weeks they had a heart attack and said no... So we fought like jawa's and haggled. My responsibilities, state and religious holidays, time frames and required work, doldrums, thumb twiddling and overtime in lieu we all called into question so facing the eventuality of wasting...
i'm lending a voice to an April start. Europe in Spring. In September last year with the weather information, route planners and experience on forum pointed to April and Easter. Also happily the most number of public holidays for me occur in April at work. It set my dates up really well.

Nab one through duty free on the wayout of the country and ensure that it goes in a water tight bag or is water resistant.

Well thankyou every one I guess i will not lose any sleep wondering about accommodation! as for sleeping out under the starts my old swag is way to heavy and by the smell of it a flight risk in itself!
Ok light weight tarp and sleeping mat should be more than sufficient for sleeping...
I'll keep an eye out for you on the way. if you want to say hi look out for a green hat (same in my profile pic) a black back pack, and a large southern cross patch... I may go a camino forum patch too but we will see..
Cheers, with these replies I'm beginning to feel that stone egg of worry break down...

Hi,
So using a Camino planner to get a plan of places to stay and my major question is in April is pre booking of accommodation essential?
Or is it early enough in the season and quiet enough so i can not really worry too much and just walk?
yeah i'm a little to casual at times.
buen...
mmn... also starting out in april on or around the 9th so i have a feeling there's going to be a few of us kick about in SJPP.
Camino Calendar? Is that a registrar of start dates? It would be cool to how many people are on the trail.
