Rest Day: Pontevedra, CaldasdeReis, or Padron?
Yes, we started in Valenca and had our rest day in Pontevedra. We were happy with our decision. Enjoyed shopping, walking around, eating out, and visited the Church of the Pilgrim Virgin.- Laura M

Yes, I agree. If I decide to opt for a car rental, I will apply for an IDP. Upon further research, I see that they are required in Spain (and honored in Portugal).- Laura M

I'm looking for the best way to rent a car between Santiago and Lisbon for 2 days in mid-October. I understand that we'll need to get International Drivers' licenses and that we can get those through AAA. Is it best to reserve the car now online or wait until we're in Portugal or Spain...- Laura M

My husband and I are walking the Portuguese Camino in October. The last stage (Padron to Santiago, 25.6 K) is a bit too long for us to cover in one day. Can anyone suggest a midpoint for lodging? Thanks.- Laura M
