Perfect! Just what I wanted!
PS I was looking for this because I had just listened to an episode of "Spirit of the Camino" which I only just discovered and think is brilliant!
I can find plenty of pictures of the (infamous) yellow boot and blue boot but cannot pinpoint where they are.
I suspect I might have walked right past them last year.
Don't want to miss them again!
I think you are comparing apples with oranges. People don’t decide to walk a Camino one day and begin the next. For many it is months or even years in the planning in which case walking in Jan 22 would have been planned in 21 when COVID was very present in people’s minds, restrictions were still...
Just seen your post and I am reassured to hear this is a trip you've taken a number of times.
Can I just check that we're talking about the same bus service?
That made me laugh out loud (on a grey day in the south of the UK). Thank you!
But you have made me nervous about adding or deleting rows in my spreadsheet.
Who knows the consequences of a delete key or even worse Alt+Control+Delete.
(There's a film script in here somewhere. Keanu Reeves?)
Excellent. Your enthusiasm has made the journey across the Atlantic and you have convinced me.
I will insert an extra row into my spreadsheet and an extra cereal bar in my backpack.
Just what I needed to hear.
All - thank you for your responses and for sharing in the spirit in which I tried to pose the question.
Your points are well made and I take them on board.
In an attempt to salvage my fading reputation as planner extraordinaire I have revisited the question of how this omission might have come...
I am a meticulous planner. Some would say obsessive. I planned out my next Camino several months ago and placed each stage carefully onto the master spreadsheet. Distances, places to stay, where to stop for lunch. What could go wrong?
To my astonishment it would seem that I have forgotten...
Agree completely. I guess it's the drill-down that's important thereafter. But I confess that I do like to plan well ahead - in fact, for me, the planning is an important part of the journey - and that means that things like bus and train time-tables can be a bit flakey.
Great tip, Andy. I use google maps all the time but did not know that it had this functionality.
That said, when I follow the google maps link to the operator's website (in this case Rede Expressos) I get slightly different times than in the table that Trecile gave me the link for. Very odd.
This is really useful, thank you so much.
I do try to use Rome2Rio but after a first useful page that lists bus times (or trains) I select one and find I am faced with "no buses on that day" which is in direct conflict with the previous page! I then lose confidence and start to doubt the...
Anyone help me with information on travelling from Porto airport to a Camino start-point. I want to get to Ponte de Lima but any general points about the airport transport options would be very helpful and any advice on getting to Ponte de Lima would be a wonderful bonus!
It seems to me that...
