    I'm planning to walk Porto to Santiago in 7 days and that will walk via Matosinhos to Vila do Conde on my first day. I think I'll then join the central route until Santiago. It makes for some long days but I think it's possible.

    Apparently egg whites were also used making wine which also left a lot of egg yolks to be used up. This was the case in Spain and explains a lot of their desserts\sweets. I'm guessing it was also the case in Portugal...
