Good news Doug. Have a wonderful Portuguese Caminho. We will be thinking about you starting today, ANZAC Day and as you are walking.
We hope to have a similar scenario next week when we fly to Spain to walk some more Caminos!
Bom Caminho

See how you go for the first few days and if you still feel the same post some stuff to Santiago with Correos or to Casa Ivar for collection in Santiago, maybe from Estella. In 2014 when we walked our first CF we posted stuff to Santiago twice, once from Estella Correos and from Fromista...
Welcome, J Walking, we will hopefully be two days behind you on the CF, as we are planning to leave St Jean on the 9th, May. We plan to arrive in St Jean on the 7th, May, but you will already be half way up the mountain enjoying Auberge Borda, where we will be on the 9th, May! We probably won't...
Dougfitz, that’s exactly what we did in 2016, we departed Lisbon on 25th April ( which is Freedom Day in Portugal commemorating the Carnation Revolution) and used the train to split the first stage into two parts, returning by train to Lisbon first day then taking it out again to our finish...
Hi Anne,
Welcome to the forum and best wishes with all your planning. I (Anne ) did my first camino when I had just turned 60, after retirement, and Pat was 61. I also have large wide feet and while walking I wear UK 8 in mens Teva sandals and UK 10 in mens Salomon hiking boots. I normally wear...
Thank you very much for this info Trecile. I think this must be fairly new, as we weren't aware of this in 2016. We have also thought of walking the Portuguese again but thought we couldn't because there was no luggage transfer until after Tui. in Spain. Now we can think again!!
Hi, welcome to the Forum Pam. My husband and I (now aged 67 & 66 ) both have arthritis and have had hip replacements before walking our first Camino in 2014, if we are able to walk these distances and terrains nearly anybody can! ;)
We are both glad we walked the Frances first, it was very...
Hi Geoff, we were also meant to start walking our 2nd Frances & 4th Camino on 25th, May this year! We also hope to get back to the Camino, hopefully next year. Take care & all the best.
Buen Camino

Hi Alegria & Geoff,
We also love Singapore and break our journey there when we go to Europe.
I can't remember if it was you Geoff, in a previous post, who mentioned Alvin Tan's book, but we also went to the book shop in Tiong Bahru and bought a copy last year on our way to Scotland & the UK...
Hi Sharon and John,
Thank you for volunteering at Beilari this year. We are staying there for one night on Sunday 24th May and we start walking to Santiago the next day. This will be our 2nd Frances and 4th Camino. We’re really looking forward to returning and now look forward to meeting you...
Back again and planning to walk the CF from SJPdP to Santiago and then on to Muxia commencing 25th May 2020. Very happy to be returning to France & Spain.
Anne & Pat
Hello Diana, thanks for your message. Great to hear we will have some company. Look forward to catching up with you both in Irun or on the Way! Regards, Anne & Pat.
Hi, we depart Australia on 20/04/2018 and commence walking from Irun on 26/04/2018 to Santiago de Compostela and then on to Finisterre and Muxia. This is our third Camino and we are both looking forward to returning to Spain and meeting many more pilgrims and locals. This is a great forum, thank...
