thanks Deidre - i´m in pamplona now and just posted the stuff back when the weather turned cold! i have a long sleeve woollen top and a wind/rain jacket which is fine - if i get even colder i can use my silk long johns as well. worst case is that i buy something else, the fleece was an extra...- Cyd

i should say that i got here about 3pm and the albergue only has 40 beds in the ´low´ season - it has more in July and August. Just set date
any tips (anyone) for using their online booking form - keeps rejecting my email address and not submitting my booking enquiry form - I've tried both my personal and work emails - they both end in ".com.au" so I wonder if that is causing a problem. I hear you Arn - but the Target wool socks are actually very good quality and quite well cushioned. I've got a couple of pairs of Smartwool (or similar) socks too, will be rotating and testing best combos Socks are one thing I am not going to ration or skimp on. thanks for the advice M- Cyd

Hi Clare I kick off from St Jean on 25 April (leave Sydney on 20th and get over jet lag, get to start of walk etc). I'll be staying in Orrision that night then probably Roncesvalles on 26th (though may push on a little further if I'm up to it). No doubt will see you at some point. Look out...- Cyd

I have never worn makeup so that's not on the packing list! :lol: I've done plenty of bushwalking and don't mind roughing it - I'm not taking anything that I think is extraneous. I've seen plenty of pictures of snow in April when I am planning to start so I'd rather carry a couple more kilos...- Cyd
