Thanks Raggy, I’ve tried to walk with an umbrella strapped to my backpack in rain and it’s never really worked. I can’t remember why, the wind I think. I’m Australian, but fair skinned. I’m thinking a late September start might be best.
I’m planning to walk from Seville to Salamanca in September. anyone else going around that time? What’s the shade situation like? Is a hat enough or will I need an umbrella?
Thank you for your advice. I have checked and changed my socks, but no. It is walking in 30 degree Celsius heat with high humidity. I am sure it will be different on the Camino. Can't wait.
