To sum it up: colder vs. busier. I left St. Jean PdP on April 11 last year and had many cold nights and days in the first weeks. And lots of rain and snow! No regrets.
Buen camino!
One step at a time. That is how everyone walks the Camino.
You can do it!
Approach fellow pilgrims and locals for help on anything. People are very willing to help. The worst thing to do is stew in your own thoughts. Reach out and talk to people around you. You reached out here, so you can do...
Buen Camino! I met many solo females on my camino last year and they were all fully enjoying the pilgrimage. Although I am happily married, i went solo and it was the best decision.
You are brave! You may relax about getting everything "right". Nobody does it 100% right (can there be such a thing?). Something will turn out "wrong" or fail to meet your expectations. Consider it part of the pilgrimage experience. There will always be someone or some way to fix things that go...
Happy to have you back. Planning is half the fun. I see you plan for fall 2023. Come here often to ask questions and enjoy the conversations. Buen Camino!

Buen Camino
Hello Fran
I flew from Vancouver at the same time last year. Stayed at Borda. Enjoyed a wonderful meal there and met pilgrins there who became informal companions over most of the journey. Trip of a lifetime! Buen Camino!!
Hi Caroline
I am starting on the 10th. A reserved night at Borda and 2 nights in Estella over Easter. No other reservations for me. The Camino will provide. Buen Camino!

Greetings from Vancouver Island! I am planning to begin the same trek at about the same time as you. May we cross paths and maybe break bread or quaff a beer together. I have stopped reading travelogues 😐
