    Camino Portuguese

Ponte de Lima was my favorite spot as well. Just enough Hub in the hub-Bub, and a very scenic riverside walk canopied with trees entering in to town. Very photo worthy! I loved it! Bom Caminho!

Welcome JR. Love Cambria! Formerly from Coronado! Now in Maine...Brrr! I can assure you there will be lessons learned, perspectives gleaned, friendships kindled, and memories that will whet your appetite for more excursions. Enjoy the anticipation of it all...that’s half the fun! Buen Camino!

We’re due for a couple of snow days this week. Likely a total accumulation of a foot...give or take. Enjoy time in VT. Anytime in VT is pretty nice!

Arn, here’s to a welcoming experience yet again. I have found Ivar’s Forum to be a place of shared wisdom and emotional support. I see you are from Richmond. I grew up in Northern VA. High density in both locales, but close enough to trails/parks where tree canopies can shield summer’s...

Suzanne, Greetings from Maine! There will be several folks pushing off from Lisbon a few days before you based on posts on the Forum. My flight gets in early on the 29th, so I plan to leave from the airport directly. I will be doing a round trip, so will have time to spend in Lisbon after my...

    First Camino this year

I used an Osprey Stratos 36. Anything any larger might have compelled me to add stuff, and stuff always adds weight. I feel your excitement for the Camino. It will not disappoint. Enjoy!

    Camino Francés #1 July 2018

I loved most every step of "my way." So much eye candy (beautiful sights) and opportunities to quiet the mind and have uninterrupted time for reflection. For me, there was such a sense of accomplishment for completing the Camino Frances and such gratitude that I had the state of health to do...

I actually picked mine up at a shop at the bus station in Pamplona. It was in that underground area.
