Ponte de Lima was my favorite spot as well. Just enough Hub in the hub-Bub, and a very scenic riverside walk canopied with trees entering in to town. Very photo worthy! I loved it! Bom Caminho!
Welcome JR. Love Cambria! Formerly from Coronado! Now in Maine...Brrr! I can assure you there will be lessons learned, perspectives gleaned, friendships kindled, and memories that will whet your appetite for more excursions. Enjoy the anticipation of it all...that’s half the fun! Buen Camino!
Arn, here’s to a welcoming experience yet again. I have found Ivar’s Forum to be a place of shared wisdom and emotional support.

Wishing you a Buen Camino Royston! I relish the thought of being out on the Camino again...seems to be a chronic thought! Well, at least I still have thoughts and can still remember them...or so I think!😩

I have watched the cruel decline of my mother-in-law, 93, for over a decade. She is transitioning to a memory care facility within the next two weeks, and my father-in-law, 94, will be only one floor away where he can socialize with others and visit...
Hello Sue and Frank:
Based on this Forum there will be at least six folks out of Lisbon from 3/28-ish on. Always reassuring knowing there will be folks around. Bom Caminho! I begin on the 29th...at least that is the plan.

There will be several folks pushing off from Lisbon a few days before you based on posts on the Forum. My flight gets in early on the 29th, so I plan to leave from the airport directly. I will be doing a round trip, so will have time to spend in Lisbon after my...
I used an Osprey Stratos 36. Anything any larger might have compelled me to add stuff, and stuff always adds weight. I feel your excitement for the Camino. It will not disappoint. Enjoy!
I loved most every step of "my way." So much eye candy (beautiful sights) and opportunities to quiet the mind and have uninterrupted time for reflection. For me, there was such a sense of accomplishment for completing the Camino Frances and such gratitude that I had the state of health to do...
