First timer, solo woman senior. Travel company or self book?
I did the whole Frances in 2019 at 75, solo - I switched between inns and alberques as I felt the need for privacy. I booked about 1 day ahead from the place I was staying. I always found the innkeepers were happy to help with telephoning and to supplement my poor spainish to make arrangements...- PNeer

Starting from Pamplona tomorrow March 20, 2022, advice
That's me too - wonderful and profound experience. Be sure to enjoy Pamplona, it's a beautiful city. One more thing, consider busing to the outskirt of the city - it's pretty, but a bit of a slog getting through the city, and you will need your energy for the uphill. The cost of transporting the luggage daily
4-6 Euros/day and it does include municipals. 1 hic-up when I had it delivered to a religious hostel who didn't accept pilgrims using any aids, they took it to a neighboring inn. (I said "I am 77 with 2 hip replacements and am walking 700 km - I think God is good with me if I carry a daypack ")- PNeer
