Municipal Albergues don't take reservations. Places that do take reservations and are on Booking.com won't release all of their beds onto the site. First timer - foolish or not to try the St jean pied de Porte route ?
Hi Kate, Last year I walked from St Jean Pied de Port as far as Pamplona, ( a week's walking should get you further than that), and this year will continue on from Pamplona to Burgos. SJPP starting 27 May 2018
After many years of thinking about doing the Caminio, this is the year I make a start. I arrive in Biarritz on May 26 and start walking from SJPdP on May 27. If there is room in Express Buricot or a shared taxi I will do that otherwise it will be the later train from Bayonne to SJPdP.- SFletcher
