Yes, it's so important to listen to your body during this adventure. We didn't sight-see on our first rest day (we rented a room for two nights at the Ritz Carlton in Logrono) and just spent the day between napping and I think I took about 4 baths. Lol. First Camino this year
Sooooo envious!! We walked Frances from Sept. 6 (28 degree weather!) to Oct. 7. (4 degree weather in the mornings!) 2015, and it was wonderful. Yes, from the videos I've seen, it looks quite spectacular too!! I only mentioned it, in case Peter had his heart set on going Napoleon and I didn't want him to be disappointed. I plan on going Valcarlos next time!! Which will hopefully be next year. :)- Shalaw

Our first Camino
I saw on another post here that the Napoleon route will be closed until March 31st as it's too dangerous for the winter months. Some say it is the law and that there are signs posted to say this particular route is closed. Better plan to go the Valcarlos route..- Shalaw
