    Class of 2019

I am arriving in Madrid on Sunday, and will continue my Camino from Boadilla del Camino on Monday.

Starting 1st Camino from SJPdP September 15

At the end it worked--the pay link from the Spanish page, not the English version, worked fine.

Planning a Camino with my 13 year old daughter June/July 2019

While on the Camino this October, I ran into an Irish mom living in Spain, who did 10 days from St Jean with her 9 year old son, who turned 10 in Estella. They had a great time, and he clearly enjoyed being an inspiration to many of us. Just adjust the pace somewhat to what your daughter finds...

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

As it turns out, I will step out of Beilari on Saturday Oct. 6. I hope to have good weather, no bed bugs, and meet great people.

Walking October 3rd From St. Jean de Port

I start walking from StJdPdP on October 6, but as after Cizur Menor I will pick up speed to make it in time to Albergue En El in Boadilla, before I must return to work, I might see you guys. I'm an elderly German-American guy.

    Getting excited

Buen Camino. I'm getting closer, too (arriving SJPdP October 5) and share your excitement.

    Albergues in Roncesvalles

I found that to pay, you need to do so from the Spanish page, not English page. Buen Camino. I'll be there in 4 weeks, too.
  8. Thomas@Albany

What is your main reason to participate on the Camino?

Buen Camino, Wandalina. May the road be light on your feet and bring you joy and peace.

Starting 1st Camino from SJPdP September 15

Found it! On the English pre-reservation page, the payment page won't load, but it will on the Spanish page.

Starting 1st Camino from SJPdP September 15

I can't tind it http://www.alberguederoncesvalles.com/01_reservaonline_formulario.php I'd appreciate help finding the link for payments.

Starting 1st Camino from SJPdP September 15

How do I book Roncevalles. On Tuesday eve I clicked and filled out what looks like a preregistration that noted valid only once paid--but did not see a payment link. I did not get a confirmation email for the preregistration so far (Wednesday eve--does one get one at all?), so I don't know if I...

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

What would you suggest? I was planning to take cash (abt 400 or 500 Euros), and have my hotel in Madrid on the last day prepaid, as well as StJPdP and Roncevalles. Can one pay with credit card in some albergues in larger cities, like Pamplona/Logrono?

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

By the way, do credit card cash advances work without problems, or are there additional steps to take compared to using it in the US?
  14. Thomas@Albany

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

Thankx to you all for the good wishes. My plane ticket is confirmed, I'm now working on the list of Albergues (I'll leave most days open, but will have a few reserved). First question: In St Jean, do I need to get my passport validated by the Pilgrim's Office, or will the first sello do that?
  15. Thomas@Albany

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

I am more worried about rain.
  16. Thomas@Albany

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

    Thankx!

    First Camino Frances, Pt 1

I am from Albany, NY, and will start the first part of my CF on October 4 or 5 from StJPdP. As I still work, I can do only 13-15 days and will try to reach Burgos, or perhaps the Albergue En El in Boadilla, about which I heard good things. I hope to walk the rest of the path in Sept. 2019, after...
