Being flexible.
If you stay out of the stages they put in the guide books, you can pretty much allways get a bed. The town before or after a stage is usually quiet. After walking 1750 km with a 38 liter pack that held my tent, cooking stuff, huge sleeping bag and a sleeping mat, it was pretty easy to pack now that I don't need those items anymore.- celinehenriette

That is a good advise! My dad gave me some kind of cooling gel that seems to be helping a bit. Maybe I will check out Arnica too, do you know if one can find that in Spain?- celinehenriette

Small update, I'm currently in Innsbruck. My feet are a lot better. I walked shorter distances, but here in Austria and apparently also Switzerland there will still be a lot of roadwalking. Thanks so much! I never felt like reaching Santiago would be the end of a journey. Today I walked a nice 21.5 km in the rain and it was just amazing! I think that rollerskating with a 12 kg backpack and my sence of balance is not the best combination.
