Starting the Camino SJPP in couple days

A dream coming true! My husband and I will be starting this incredible journey in couple days. We both are traveling the world for 3 months now and the Camino is the highlight of our journey. I feel so grateful and fortunate

I will be arriving in St Jean Pied de Port on Monday evening, August 20th, and start walking on Tuesday.

I’ll leave SJ on Tuesday and stop in Orisson for the night. The first leg from SJ to Roncesvilles can be challenging....

Did the Frances about the same time last year, it was HOT !!! Make sure you have water and electrolyte tablets. Two places we normally stop for water in one segment were closed. Heat exhaustion was a very real danger.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to change our starting day due to other travel plans. We need to be extremely careful.
