You're fine. It only takes about 2 hours to reach the Orisson. It's about 8 km from the SJPDP pilgrims office, but the first 5km is steep. If you leave by 3pm, you should get there by 5:30pm. You can order the credential from Ivar or you can get it from the Pilgrim's office in St Jean Pied de Port. I would not "skip" the pilgrims office. That's where you check in and it's a good place to start the Camino. You're there with other people and it's where you start making friends. You...- gregrobinson
