Here I am, struggling again, dealing with crisis and grief.
I thought I had remedied my crooked path by previous caminos.
Experience tells me that I can only help myself by walking again.
Heading to Spain tomorrow for the camino del norte.
Really lost.
Amazing that 7 years on someone says all the best on your journey but just as relevent as we are all on our journey. It was the best thing I every did walking that way and I am still touched in a special way by making that walk.
Hello.
I can't believe it is 7 years to the day since I wrote this original post. So much has happened to me and there is not a day when I don't reflect on my journey across Spain.
I'm also pleased to see the forum is still going strong.
Buen Camino to all.
Thanks to Ginn and Melinda alterting to us to the sad passing of the above musician.
Not only was he a member of this forum but his music touched us, gave us something a lasting image of the Camino by music.
Sad news indeed, at least he touched the world in a beautiful way. He managed to...
Hola
A Camino friend of mine recommended this to me just before Christmas and I today have been given a copy by my girlfriend. First I think the CD is wonderfully packaged and presented, especially with its accompanying booklet in different languages. Secondly the concept of playing music and...
CONQUES
Hello
If someone could answer me this question via PM I would be very grateful.
I am thinking of getting to Conques for the weekend and would like to walk on the pilgrim route (GR65) onwards to Figeac.
As it is totally spontaneous idea does anyone have an idea how far it is and...
EU DIRECTIVE
Hola
I can echo the ambience of walking in October, in fact last October the highs were as hot as July. There are abundance of grapes unpicked due to some EU regulations governing the percentage of fruit harvested so by all means help yourself. Some Spaniards explained this to...

I heard some wonderful 13th century music on the radio this morning originating from the Pilgrim routes of Spain.

buen camino
Hi
Just spent the weekend in Santiago, giving thanks at the Cathedral from my recovery from a breakdown last year.
I spent Friday in Seville and was in Santiago all day Sunday during the carnival with my girl friend Beverley.
I had such a profound recovery from a serious mental breakdown...
When are you going?
Sounds like you are doing the right thing if you are making life time decisions. Like you I reached a crossroads in my life but some tragic events triggered this, I knew I just had to walk and sort myself out.
I walked from Burgos to Ponferrada and the iron cross at...
thanks for messages of support
Thanks to all the kind compassionate people out there.
I am just finishing stuff at work and taking the night train to Irun tonight.
Then either Pamplona or Burgos, get a pilgrim passport and get walking.
This is the only thing that I need at the moment...
Hello
Trying to cope with what feels like a breakdown. Seriously thinking about taking some time off work and just going to either Pamplona or Astorga. People seem have detailed plans but I thinking of just going for it. Don't feel up to planning an itinerary at the moment. Just need to...
My name is James, from the UK. Had a minor crisis in March and just jumped in my car, ended up in Bilbao. Still can't remember how I got there! Had to get boat back to Portsmouth as exhausted. Visited Burgos by train to visit Cathedral and realised a place I really wanted to get to is...
