Hi. Of Course.
It took me 23 days to get from Burgos to Finisterre. I walked long days from Santiago to Finisterre so it took 21 days to Santiago I think. To me seeing the sea was really the culmination of my Camino so I'm so glad I continued past Santiago.
I didn't take any days off (though...
Hi
Yes I took the bus from Madrid to Burgos. It was quite simple. I didn't book in advance because I was worried that if my plane was delayed I could miss the bus. Turns out my plane was delayed so i made the right decision. I ended up having to wait a couple of hours at the burgos airport but...
Hi
I did that trip a few weeks back and it really is quite easy. As you've read you just have to get on the shuttle to get to terminal 4 from whichever terminal you land at. The shuttles are clearly marked and it's easy. Then down in the ground floor of terminal 4 you can buy your ticket at the...
hi
Was just about to book my bus ticket from santiago to Porto online but wondered if anyone has had any issues with that? I'm in santiago now but leaving for finisterre tomorrow morning and didn't want to waste my day going to the bus station.
I leave for Porto on Thursday so want to book my...
Thanks heather. I'm two days away from santiago and have exactly a week to get to finisterre then Porto. Hanging on to staying in the moment but all of a sudden it seems like there are 100 plans to make so I can make it to Porto and catch my plane.
Oh well...
Thanks for the reply. I'll look...
Hi there
I am going to be getting into santiago on Sunday and then trying to walk to finisterre starting on Monday. I hope to get back to santiago on Thursday morning as I need to get to Porto Thursday.
Anyone know a good way to get to Porto from santiago?
Thank you
Hi Viranani,
Wondering if you pre booked your bus ticket or bought when you got there? I am doing teh trip on Monday but teh time is tight so am wary of buying in advance...that said I'm also wary of it being sold out and having to wait a few hours.
Thanks
Dean
Sorry I forgot to give that info. I fly out of montreal end of May and come back June 24th. It is with KLM. I booked it straight through the KLM site but used skscanner.ca for a week or two to check prices. Air transat never got that low for price and they only have one flight a week.
Klm was...
I was able to get a montreal to Madrid (return from Porto) for $800 even. It would have been cheaper to fly to and from Madrid but for just a bit more I liked the idea of Porto being so close to Santiago and getting to see it.
Thanks for this. It<s helpful advice.
How do you not check your backpack if you have liquids or are bringing a pocket knife or something similar in your pack? Is that not limiting?
Thanks both. I would be booking it all at the same time through skyscanner (the deal is through expedia i believe). the first flight is air canada and the second swissair.
Has anyone ever flown through Zurich? I have found a good price on flights from Montreal to Madrid and then return from Porto to Montreal but the zurich layover is only 45 minutes so just wondering if that will be enough time to get my flight to madrid. I like the combo of coming into Madrid...
