    Walking Hendaye to Irún

    I walked across the Santiago Bridge from Hendaye to Irun in 2018.I stayed in a hotel near the railway station in Hendaye and it was a short walk to the bridge.The bridge has a sidewalk on either side.No need to walk on the road. Buen Camino

    Hi Bombay Bill, On both Trainline and Renfe websites I searched Madrid Leon for 15/9 and was able to book trains for that day.On the Renfe site it would only allow booking of the later train which apparently takes around 4 hours or thereabouts.

    Sorry forgot to say there isn' t a train from Bayonne to St Jean Pied de Port because of ongoing repairs to the line but French Railways have organized buses from outside the railway station in Bayonne.You can buy the bus ticket in the railway station.The timetable for the buses is on the web...
