I'm travelling a day ahead of Grumpygit. Staying 1 night at Biarritz and using Express Bourricot to SJPP. Staying 1 night in SJPP then starting my Camino. In hindsight, I regret not staying longer at SJPP, but I've booked accommodation at Borda and Roncesvalles. Given the reports of both places...
I hadn't even thought about changing terminals! I chose to fly to Bayonne due to the comparative simplicity of changing flights at CDG. Just checking my tickets. I arrive terminal 1 and fly out of terminal 2. Fortunately 1 have about 4 hours between flights.

My understanding was that as an Australian, I could enter the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days, however, after reading the article you shared, it appears I can visit many countries within the area for 90 days each.
To avoid multiple transfers, I have booked a flight to CDG, with a connecting flight from there to Biarritz. I've booked a hotel for the night in Biarritz and will travel by train from there to SJPP.
