    How Long Through the Airport

Thanks much. I have actually planned on taking a taxi. I have a reservation in Pamplona and figured a taxi could just take me right there. After a long flight(s) from LAX I thought it would just be the easiest way. Even with all my anxiety, I really am looking forward to my pilgrimage :)...

    How Long Through the Airport

Thank you. All good advice, which is why I turn to this forum in the first place :). I will definitely check out the airport link.

    How Long Through the Airport

Thanks... I know this is exactly what I need to do. My mom used to tell me if I didn't have something to worry about I would worry about it. Guess she was right

    How Long Through the Airport

I leave in just under two weeks (5/31/17) and arrive in Madrid 02:20 pm 6/1/17. I thought I had worked through all of my night-time terrors and was just starting to sleep at night. Now this Madrid airport thing has come up and I'm at it again. Yes, Iberia... however, my question is this? I...

    Advice needed- re arrival plans

Great idea. If I get a chance I will take a look. I honestly don't know what I want. I use borrowed ones here at home. They are not the most expensive made but serve my purpose here. Taking the language barrier into consideration, I'll probably ask some advice before purchasing :rolleyes...

    Advice needed- re arrival plans

Hola, I arrive in Pamplona via Madrid on 1/06 (trying to get used to writing the date like this. Still looks like Jan. 6 to me :D.) I have reservations in Pamplona to spend the night. Will take a taxi from the airport into Pamplona. On 2/06 I have a reservation on an Alsa bus leaving...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Hi all... I was able to reserve a bus from Pamplona to St. Jean on June 2, 2017 at 10am through ALSA. The bottom of my printed ticket says "ticket sold on behalf of CONDA". It was 22,00 EUR ($24 & change US). Hope this helps.

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Kanga, you are wonderful. Many thanks for this info. I should be able to sleep peacefully tonight.

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Nine to eleven euros is much less than I envisioned. That's good news. And I won't be taking the taxi as a tourist. I will be wearing hiking boots and carrying a quite heavy backpack with I get to Pamplona :-) Thanks for the advice.

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Thanks so much. It is my almost last minute jitters getting to me. I told myself in the middle of the night that if all else failed I would walk (not first option) but I decided that taking a taxi was the best idea. Of course that is what travelers do. Like I said, almost last minute jitters...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Thank you Kanga, I woke up last night worrying about it, then I just thought "no buses, there must be taxies". Good advice, as well at booking into an albergue (that I hadn't thought about). I know starting from St. Jean Pied de Port is not compulsory but I have been thinking about and...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Thank you so much for this. Funny, I did wake up during the middle of the night last night worrying. Then I just thought, if no other way, I will pay a taxi. And for finding another pilgrim, I keep forgetting that I certainly won't be the "only" pilgrim. The Camino provides :)

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Hi Kanga, I'll direct my question to you as well. Perhaps you can advise since you said it is easy to get to Pamplona from Madrid. It was suggested by a forum member that I book a flight to Pamplona via Madrid, which I did. Locked in. My plan was to take a bus (which I now find is...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Sorry to be so dense, but if I can take a ALSA/CONDA bus from Pamplona to San Sebastian, how do I get to Pamplona in the first place from the airport? And if I do make it to Pamplona, I can stay there overnight and take a bus to SJPP which has been my plan all along. Then I can avoid Pamplona...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

This is actually quite disheartening because it was suggested that I fly directly to Pamplona via Madrid. My flight is booked and now you tell me there is no bus to Pamplona from airport (not your fault of course). After a long international flight I just want to spend the night in Pamplona...

Madrid to St Jean thru Pamplona

Great info. I've been wondering about this ever since I booked my flight (May 31st/Arrive Pamplona June 1st). I'm assuming I can get a bus from Pamplona airport to Pamplona where I would like to spend the night before going on to St. Jean the next day. Thanks for the post.

Pamplona to St. Jean on a Sunday night

I hope the family health issues aren't too serious and pray for a good outcome. However, I am sorry to hear this news as staying with them and then having them transport me to SJPdP has been my plan for the longest time. On to plan B (for bus), unless I meet up with other pilgrims that want to...

Traveling from USA, Houston to SJPP,

Always do :) But thanks for good advice.

Traveling from USA, Houston to SJPP,

That's what I'm hoping for. Even though I have a connecting flight to Pamplona and won't be in Madrid all that long, I just didn't want to use up my whole layover time trying to find the right departure gate. I nearly did that in France

Traveling from USA, Houston to SJPP,

Hi... I just made my reservations for May 31st from LA (can't see that it would be that different than from Houston)... I have a direct flight to Madrid, then connecting into Pamplona. I will figure out how to get to SJPdP later (probably by bus but I haven't gotten that far yet). I considered...
