Free Airport Shuttle from Booking.com, is it real?

B.com also "sells" shuttle services. Providing free taxi service for you may be one of their promotion strategies. I have reserved one for my trip in France next month to see how it works although I am very satisfied with SunTransfers when using its shuttle service in Europe and Southeast Asia...

    Backpacks Check-in or carry-on

When I flew Air Canada for my CF serveral years ago, their check-in counter in the airport provided me a large see-through plastic bag to "contain" my backpack and hiking pole as one a large bag and security-scan / checked it at a diffenret place, no hassel. Not many airlines provided such...

Do you need to stay at an albergue to access their luggage transfer service?

In my experience, some don't. But they would direct the luggage transfer service sending the luggage to a nearby bar/cafe for you to pick up from it. The bar/cafe has a specific place to "store" the luggages. If the luggage is required to be delivered to next stage, it needs to be placed in a...

Best way to get to St. Jean Pied de Port from Ontario Canada

Fly to Paris by Air transact; arrive Paris in the morning. Spend a day in Paris, to deal with "jetlag", if necessary, or/and some sightseeing. Stay in Paris overnight, take an early train, relaxingly, to SJPP. Stay in SJPP overnight and head out to "conquer" the Pyrenees energetically...

    Just starting & Lost already

I tried to follow the "way-markers for Camino" to get out of Leon in 2017, they "suddenly" disappeared when I hit a busy area (I can't remember the exact place). It was 7:00 in the morning. I couldn't see a pilgrim in the street. There were not many people either. My solution was to go to...

Train cancelled from Paris to SJPDP - need help figuring out if a later train is available

It appears to me that the "train" section between Bayonne and SJPP is often "replaced" by (shuttle) bus.

    Euros

always reject the automatic conversion and always choose Euros at the ATM or when paying by card. Agree totally It is how it works; If one choose to settle it in US dollars at the "Point of Sales", be it a ATM, or the portal device in a restaurant, the system will charge the amount first to...

    Bag transport with Jacotrans

It was May in 2017. The albergue, where I stayed, did not allow transport service delivering to or picking up backpacks from it. My backpack had to be placed in a cafe nearby. I mistakenly placed my backpack in a wrong place in the cafe, the result is no backpack when I arrived at the...

Last April, I stayed in a single-person in San Martín Pinario, Santiago de Compostela, for 23 euro including breakfast. The lunch was 10 euro including a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, even though I was the only person at the table. It is two minutes walk to the Cathedral. Highly...
