@Magwood I enjoyed reading your blog entries for the two sections Santander - Soto de la Marina and Soto. de la Marina to Santillana. Gives me a good idea of what to expect for these stages. Your writing and pictures are great.
Thanks Magwood. Love your approach to stay on the train till Barreda. Right now, I am leaning towards that. I will also check out your blog - thanks for the link! Since @David with new Kit! also seconded that! It gets us to Santilllana without more nights in between stages (Santander to...
@Vaughan Thanks for the specific data point from your GPS tracker. That's helpful information.
@Antonius Vaessen - Your response was ideal as my wife and I didn't really want to walk through some of this beautiful scenery in a rushed day. Thus, I have just booked a night at the Hotel Costa San...

Here's the Correos web site (in English). By booking for my party plus 5 stops in advance (we had pre-booked accommodation), I was able to get a discount off the daily rate. For a group of 4 x 5 days, that was Euro 20 in 2019.

I am new to Buen Camino, Wise Pilgrim and mapy.cz. Does anyone stand out or that you would recommend over the other two?
@peregrina2000
Do you know if your coastal routes are detailed in the map.cz app? That would be an alternative to downloading your coastal maps per your thread in

Just type in "Camino de Santiago 4.0" into FB Search box, and it will pull up his FB Group page.
